Life Coach Principles: Get In Touch With Your Inner Mind – Inquire Within

As a life coach and personal development blogger I am dedicated to helping you fulfil your potential and achieve more meaning and happiness in your life and career.

In this series of articles I am providing you with principles that if you follow your life will be far more empowered than maybe it is to this point. This is the third article, and if you are interested in reading the first two, here they are:

  1. Take 100% Responsibility for your Life.
  2. Cultivate Constant and Never Ending Improvement

You are far greater than you have ever dreamed of being. And no matter what you are experiencing in your life right now, let these life coaching principles take you where you are meant to go, let them help you discover the many answers to life’s most important questions, giving you the insight how you can succeed with life.

Although there are many resources available to find answers from, like the one all us bloggers use called Google, you already possess the number one resource. Many of the answers you seek  lie within you; they always have, you just have to look within and you will find the answer than you’re looking for. We have all been blessed with the gift of an inner adviser, one who will always assist us and never guide us in the wrong path.

Your subconscious mind is an incredibly powerful resource. It has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of your life; it has all the answers to your every question.

Ultimately, the answers you are seeking already lie deep within you.. There is nowhere else to look. There is a treasure trove of wisdom sleeping within you, waiting to be awakened by your discovery. But if you don’t look, you won’t find.

See yourself as a work in progress and continually challenge yourself to use each day as a platform to progress into the higher reaches of your inner life.

There are many factors which will have an impact on your life’s outcomes. Let’s today look at the one with perhaps the greatest impact. It’s your inner mind, which creates your mental model of the world and effects your interaction with that world. Your inner mind will dramatically affect your behaviour and consequently the results you get.

Every single one of us has work to do, no matter how much work we have done on ourselves, no matter how evolved we are. Every single one of us has a positive side as well as a negative side. Each of us has defects to repair and wounds within us that cry out to be healed.

Life  is all about: never-ending improvement as discussed yesterday, this requires growth and learning.

Too many of you are living life from the outside in rather than from the inside out. Only when things get tough do you begin to ask yourself the bigger questions of life, such as why do these things keep happening to me and why do my best-laid plans not work out as intended.

Our minds can be cruel, triggering our bad memories from the past or letting us waste our present worrying over things that will never happen. The mind craves external distractions, , the kind based on worldly—rather than spiritual—things such as money, position and possessions.

The only power worth anything is authentic power—that which comes from within. Authentic power encompasses the ability to face adversity, to overcome fear and inhibition, to be sufficiently in touch with our inner lives that we are genuinely able to express ourselves and chart our life’s direction, to be open to a range of interpersonal relationships, to be assertive without being confrontational, and to create meaning in our lives.

This authentic power allows you to experience peace of mind. You’ll have more energy, enthusiasm, and become more creative. You’ll become a kinder, gentler, and a more loving person. When you set peace of mind as your standard, you’ll tap into a source of wisdom that will guide you without fail toward doing and saying the right things in every circumstance.

The most important things you can do to get in touch with your inner feelings is to practice quiet meditation on a daily basis. You should set aside 30 to 60 minutes each day for meditation. When you begin to practice meditation on a daily basis, you’ll begin to experience a flow of energy coming into your mind and body. You’ll have a tremendous sense of well-being, and a stream of ideas will flow through your mind.

By gently and gradually diminishing the negative mental messages that keeps playing in the head, you will begins to clear your mind of all its negativity and clutter instead allowing it to generate and transmit powerful, creative, life affirming, positive thought and answers.

When you silence yourself and go inside, you have all the answers. That is where true peace and glory lie. So take the time, and ask some of those questions you’ve been searching everywhere to find the answers.

  1. Larry, I agree with you that we possess the answers to our questions, but sometimes, we don’t always like the answer and wish we could change it. At times, that is within our reach, and other times it is not. That is just life, or my life. Negative thoughts, if allowed, can consume our minds. I have seen it happen with very close friends and it saddens me. I purposefully try to keep myself positive and moving forward 🙂
