Ask the Right Question

Questions can change our focus in an instance

‘A genuine quality of life comes from consistent, quality questions’. ANTHONY ROBBINS – AWAKEN THE GIANT WITHIN

The entire key to life is what you focus on. Your brain can be directed and you can direct it by the questions you ask.

The most powerful way to direct to control and direct your focus is through the power of questions. We ask ourselves questions all day long. Our questions control our focus, how we think, and how we feel. So questions can immediately change what we’re focusing on and therefore how we feel.

Questions have the ability to change our focus in an instant. Asking the right questions is a skill that can literally change your mindset from limiting to empowering. Our personal view of reality hinges on what we focus our minds on. Questions not only provide our minds with focus but with incentive and direction as well.

As soon as we ask a question, our mind immediately begins searching for the answer. If we don’t like the answers that we are getting, it probably has a lot to do with the questions we are asking. By asking the right questions we can empower ourselves to change any aspect of our life.

The process of thinking or evaluating, is nothing more than the process of asking and answering questions. The challenge most people face is that they are not conscious about the questions they ask themselves.

Questions are the laser of human consciousness. They concentrate our focus and determine what we feel and do.

Whatever you ask yourself consistently, you will get an answer to.

If you ask a better question, you will come up with a better answer and therefore, a better result.

By changing the questions you ask when managing your life, you will immediately change your focus, gain access to new resources within yourself, and produce a better quality result.

De-energising Questions

When something goes wrong or you are met with a challenge what thoughts immediately enter your mind? For many, many people they are de-energizing thoughts and questions that sound something like this:

• What’s wrong with me?

• How come this always happens to me?

• Can I avoid being blamed for this?

• Why me?

• Why do I always/never …?

• Am I good enough?”

• What if I’m not good enough?

De-energizing questions trap you where you are (or in your history), they tend to be backward focused, defensive, dis-empowering.

Energising Questions

To power-fill your life you need to focus on asking energizing questions.

Here are empowering questions you can ask

· How can I be a force for good and help solve problems and make this a betterworld? (especially for our children!)

· What do you stand for?

· Who are you?

· How can you make a difference in this world?

· How can you add value to someone’s life today?

· How can you regain your ability to look at life with wonder though the eyes of a child?

· How can you use your innate genius and creativity and live the life you’ve imagined?

I had a conversation similar to this only last night, we must be on the same wavelength.

I reflected on a friends constant negative questioning. A prime example “I bet you didn’t go did you?” “I bet you didn’t ask did you?”, etc. My response is always “I bet I did” but I find it draining that everything is so negative. So maybe we not only have to energize ourselves but others around us too.
