We Need Personal Growth And Meaning In Our Life

We are human beings. We have emotions, feelings, hopes and dreams. We need to be valued, to be acknowledged for our contributions, to feel a sense of belonging, and we need independence, personal growth and meaning in our life. When all these needs are met, it is life enhancing. When they are not met, it drains the life out of us.

The highest most important human development you can ever attain is Personal Growth. When you invest in your personal development you take responsibility for your life, your circumstances and your happiness.

If, on the other hand, you don’t do anything, making no effort to take charge of your life you set yourself up to let events affect you. If you’re not willing to take control or be pro-active in your life you will end up reacting to, rather than affecting what is going on around you.

You must invest in your personal development and work on being the best that you can be. Would you say right now that you are optimising your potential in your life and in your work? Do you want to renew your energy, make more of your time, boost your confidence, build better relationships, shape up your finances and feel inspired to enjoy a multi faceted, fulfilling life.

Most of us have dreams we’d like to realise, things we’d like to change, or do differently in our lives, we’re full of good intentions, yet we are all so busy and the changes can seem too big and overwhelming, that we never get around to doing anything about them. We often convince ourselves that we don’t have the time, the space, the support, the resources, the money or the know how to think about what we want, let alone do things differently.

When you do take your personal development seriously, everything starts coming together in seemingly effortless manner – your relationships, your work, your home life, and your over-all sense of well-being. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t challenges and obstacles. There always are. It just means that you are better equipped to handle them.

Personal development means being able to understand that you are 100% responsible for your life, your finances, your relationships, your habits, your emotions, your career basically everything in your life.

It is understanding that you work from the inside out to achieve whatever it is you desire. Your thoughts feelings and actions work together to help you create the life you truly desire.

It is not a quick fix, it will not happen overnight. If done on a consistent basis, you will find your life changing and becoming what you only dreamed of. Personal Development will help you live life more consciously and give you the courage to pursue anything you desire.

Your starting point would be to devise a personal development action plan or checklist to follow. It can be flexible and serve as a guide or outline for what you want to accomplish.

I hope that my blog brings you some inspiration. That it gets you to think about your personal development. That it shows you no matter how many knocks you face, you just have to pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and keep moving forward.

Please let me know whether you have made any progress since you began to read and acquire information about personal growth.

I definitely agree and can relate to the fact that many of us have dreams, ambitions and goals that don’t get actualized and followed through. They can seem too daunting and it’s hard to know where to begin sometimes, especially when the cards dealt in life seem to go against us. It’s important to get past our internal inertia though and strive towards progressing as individuals. Stagnance is death, spiritually and in terms of making any real contribution.

I always find your blog inspirational. Thank you for this article 🙂

Sometimes, it’s easier to avoid than to take the responsibility for our own life and to be accountable. You do end up paying for slacking in the end tho. Great post Larry! You write and deliver wonderful work 🙂
