Never Give Up

To achieve success in anything through life we have to implement a never give up approach. When we adopt something new into our lives, like a hobby or a new skill, everything seems fresh and intriguing. We are stimulated by it. We believe that it is something that we want to keep doing, and something we want to master. We are excited to pursue it at the beginning, but once the positive emotions start to wane, we begin to stumble, then get frustrated, and often the end result is we just give up.

I’ve seen evidence of this so much as a fitness gym owner. So many people set New Year’s resolutions, such as weight loss, that seldom last through January, much less for the entire year. Many of the roadblocks that stop these people from continuing at the gym often are the same ones that thwart them in achieving any goal they may set themselves throughout their lives

If there’s one thing I’ve had reinforced in my mindset over the past two years is that success depends on sticking with something. In my case I’m referring to my journey as a blogger. My success has been built over time, but I have had to overcome many obstacles, and even self doubt. But I stuck with it, and now have surpassed all my original expectations.

In order to achieve success in any area of your life you must cultivate the habits of perseverance and determination so to ensure you continue your efforts, so that you will almost certainly arrive at your desired result. You just have to make sure you’re able to work on things consistently without giving up.

To create a popular blog takes years of hard work, staying active in the blogosphere, posting regular quality articles, interacting in the social media, focusing on search engine optimization, building a network, and always being willing to help others. Success never happens overnight. In fact the one thing that I’ve come to realize is that where ever the journey of life takes us, we are evolving all the time, and that is where the magic happens.

When I started my blog, I made one commitment to myself, and that was I promised myself I would never quit. Being someone that loves making the difference in other people’s lives, blogging gave me the perfect platform to do this. After all, my dream was to be a personal development coach and to make an income from doing so, and blogging seemed a smart path to take.

Everyone’s passion is unique. To truly live your passion, you have to be willing to give up control and take the wild roller-coaster ride that living your passion requires.

To have a real chance of success, you have to take personal ownership and have the internal mind set that “This will work if, and only if, I make it work. I am going to make this work.”

The one piece of advice I give to anyone who desires success is to get ready for the long haul. Success requires focus, determination, tenacity and a “never give up” mentality.

Why? Because there will be more than enough reason to give up. So why do it? Because when you do have a success, there is not feeling like it .

To make any meaningful change in your life, you need to have the motivation and commitment to stick with it and follow it through to the end. You need to have that fire within you which will always be ignited by your passion, and then it’s so easy to put that effort in until you reach the winning line.

Once you see positive changes happening in your life step back for a moment, be proud of yourself, take a deep breath and then get back at it. You will always get out of life results equal to the effort you put in.

I can tell you some of my secrets, major factors in me seeing things through, and achieving what I am.

It is that I love what I am doing. Putting in 18 hours a day, 24/7 is no hardship to me. I enjoy what I do so much. My blog and business is my passion. Also I have surrounded myself with the best and brightest people. I learn so much from them. I trust them implicitly, and have someone I can turn to when I need advice. And I have so much fun. Even in the midst of all the long hours and work I put into my business, I always have the time of my life doing it. Neil, my partner, who hides in the background, and we are always having a laugh, normally at his expense. It’s safe for me to say that here, because he never reads my articles to the end.

No matter what obstacles we’ve hit, we have gone at them with persevere and just pressed on. We are making very nice money from it all now, and the real fruits of our labor are just around the corner.

I also know to live an amazing life doing what I love, it is important to constantly learn, grow, try new things, make mistakes, and try again. My passion will keep me energized and committed to succeed and ensure I never give up.

When you wake up in the morning, commit to making your day the absolute best that it can possibly be, and then the next day try to do that again.

No, never quit, that has to be the attitude from the beginning. As long as we are passionate about blogging we won´t quit, that´s the key.A good idea to include a mp3 there. It wouldn´t hurt with little more music overall in the blogosphere.

  2. A very inspirational post Larry! I agree with Mattias as far as a person’s attitude…’quitting’ cannot even be a part of our vocabulary. No matter how bad things seem, or how low you may get in life, you can never quit. I do admit, there are times when the motivation or desire may not be as strong and we need a jolt of both from a friend or co-worker, but we should never submit to failure. We only fail and quit if we allow ourselves to. Keep chin up…and one foot in front of the other 😉

    Larry,
Giving up after a long line of getting up and falling down is something that has come to mind, but having a inner voice reminding me to, NOT QUIT keeps me going forward. Learning over the years from others has helped, but recently since being involved with Healthy Lifestyles Living and You, it has made a definite difference. The blogging, the coaching, and the heart with care is something that the world in general doesn’t even factor in their lives. Understanding something you have never been taught, or been fortunate enough to come by someone, that truly extends a hand, your hung out on your own to muddle through whatever it takes to succeed. For those taking one step ahead and two back, my wish for them is to be directed to this site and the help it can offer them. They need to know that life can be the dream they want!
