Life Experiences See You At The Finish Line

Life can be tough at times! It is often a struggle presenting major challenges too you but one I promise that can be well worth the effort. Success is all about navigating the twists and turns on the road of life. But if you do this successfully the winning line is all you could hope it to be.

Everyone finds life to be a mixture of many ups and downs. There are good days and bad days; often you find yourself dealing with the problems and dilemmas which life throws at you.

“The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.” Don Williams, Jr

There have been times in my life when I have felt frustrated, confused, even at times totally disillusioned. The trials and tribulations that you go through are a normal part of your life. It is the trials and tribulations of life that help you grow and change.

You have to believe that life gives you lessons, lessons which in turn make you stronger, help you develop, and grow into the success you so desire.

Life is a learning process that we have to go through. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life but they’ve never stopped me. Failures are inevitable, but as long as you learn from them and keep moving forward, you’ll eventually get to where you want to be. Just learn from every mistake you make and every failure that comes your way.

Failures should be seen to be like steppingstones to success. Look at the Thomas Edison story. He of course invented the light bulb, which took him 1,000 tries before he developed a successful prototype. “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” a reporter asked. “I didn’t fail 1,000 times,” Edison responded. “The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”

You can’t escape many of the difficulties that will come your way, nor can anyone else in this life, but learning from them is what gets us one step closer to success. Probably one of the most important things I was ever taught was that to achieve success, you have to embrace the prospect of failure.

Learning is all about making mistakes first then knowing how to avoid these mistakes in the future. You have to do things wrong before you can learn how to do them the right way and thus in order to reach success you learn from your mistakes.

Life is all about learning from your life experiences, the successes and failures.

Just make sure you learn from your failure. Be determined. It is often through failure that future success come. Keep trying!

In fact, we’re so focused on not failing that we don’t aim for success, settling instead for a life of mediocrity. If failure is a vehicle that can take you to success, then courage is the fuel! Instead of viewing failure as something to be avoided, turn it into a “stepping-stone” on the path to success and happiness. In other words: Success is the destination. Failure is how you get there.

Victoria Lloyd sums it up in this passage she wrote on her blog – A Blog from the Heart:

“I have experienced first hand how tough it can be out there, but will not give up my fight for success, which I know I am so close to getting, it’s scary. I think all successful businesses have to experience those low points to truly understand how badly they want it and how much they will give to achieve it.”

The sweetest victory is the one that’s comes from the most difficult situations. The one that requires you to reach deep inside, to fight with everything you’ve got, to be willing to leave everything out there until that do-or-die moment, when you pull off victory from the claw of defeat.

To achieve your personal best, to reach unparalleled heights, to make the impossible possible, you can’t fear failure, you must think big, and you have to push yourself.

Face your uncertainties and fears in life with the understanding that you can deal with everything that comes your way, and will eventually make it to the winning line.

So I will see you all at the finish line, no matter how long it takes to get there!

What’s the most unexpected twist or turn that you’ve encountered along life’s journey?

Even though I knew that someday my father would present with health issues and I would be the one to be the caregiver, you just never expect it to be when it happens. And when it does, it throws your whole game off. Trying to incorporate new diets and new schedules into an already hectic lifestyle is challenging, to say the least. The bottom line is that there are only so many hours in the day and it’s a person’s responsibility to utilize those hours in the most productive way possible. Sure, you are going to have some days that you just want to stay in bed and avoid everything that is going on but you have to remain disciplined. Stay the course. In the end, getting across that finish line will be so satisfying 🙂
