It’s All In Your Head

Is your life just not working? No matter how many self help books you read do you still feel stuck on the same merry-go-round, success alluding you? Is your job is unsatisfying and are your personal relationships floundering? Are your finances in a mess and could your health be better?

Well, as far as personal development goes, it’s all in your head it starts in the mind, ! Let me explain.

All of the circumstances you are facing right now are started in your thoughts. Your thoughts today create your life tomorrow be careful in choosing your desires and wishes.  Positive thoughts lead you to a much more satisfying life. When you stay tuned in to positive thoughts it leads you to health, happiness and success.

Your thoughts are the key to creating your reality. Everything you observe in your physical world has its source in the invisible, inner world of your thoughts and beliefs. To become the master of your destiny, you must learn to control your main, habitual thoughts. By doing so, you will be able to attract into your life those positive things you truly desire having.

You must realise then that to change your outer circumstances you must first change yourself on the inside. Know the truth that your thoughts create your reality. You must change your decisions and your beliefs about what you are capable of achieving, having and deserving.

Whether attaining major goals or overcoming adversity, life’s winners are those who believe in themselves and never lose their passion for the goals they pursue.

You will always feel dreadful when your life is not how you want it to be. But the truth is you will always get more of what you focus on. Your life is dreadful at the minute because you are focusing on it being bad and if you keep doing that it will just get worse. It‘s all in your head!

By learning to change your focus and moving your attention to the things that are working in your life you will create more of that. In time you will start to notice more and more of what you do want in life appearing. To change your focus you must first change the way you feel. Look for the things you are grateful for now. Give thanks for them. No matter how bad things are, start finding the good, there is always something there. Let that be your fuel to create more of the better things coming along to you.

Be grateful for the job you have and the roof you have over your head. Even if they’re not the ones you want. Be grateful that you are not alone in life. Have gratitude for the money you do have no matter how limited it may be. Give thanks that you are alive and capable of changing your current circumstances. By showing Gratitude for the things you do have provides a key that to unlock your unlimited potential.

I promise you that if you practise gratitude for only 15 minutes a day your focus will begin to change to the positive and within a month your life will being to change for the better. Within a year you and your outer world will be totally transformed. Do this every morning. Commit 15 minutes to finding and thinking about all the things you can be grateful for.

When it comes to your business, are you tapping into power you already have? There is no more powerful tool that exists than the human brain. Yet when it comes to our businesses, too few of us fully tap into our brains’ vast and proven ability to make things happen. We dismiss the idea that our thoughts can affect our reality. The truth is by putting your brain to work properly you can transform your business just as much as you can your life.

It’s up to you, when it comes to both your life and business to grab the reins and see what you can do to create things as you would like them to be. You can use your mind to find solutions for everything. It’s our on board computer, and used right it is incredibly powerful.

The bottom line is that developing and honing your positive mind-set is not about day dreaming, make-believe, living in a fantasy land in your head. The first step is to get control of your mind. But then the second step is to realise nothing will happen unless you put in a lot of old-fashioned effort and work.

Each and every one of us has the potential to be successful. We just have to accept responsibility. You’re the only one who can make yourself successful. No one and nothing else can do it for you.

If you’re not yet living in the ideal version of your life, you have the power to change that right now! You may or may not be a fan of The Secret, however I believe the fundamental formula of ask, believe, receive that it puts forward is sound. Just three simple steps to create what you want.

These are the three steps to achieving your success:

Step 1: Ask – You must know what you want. I mean, really know what you want.

Step 2: Believe – You need to truly believe that what you are asking for will become yours.

Step 3: Receive – It is important that you become an active player in reaching your goals. When opportunity comes your way you must not hesitate. Grab the bull by the horns when it appears.

We often have irrational, negative unconscious limiting beliefs that influenced virtually every aspect of our life in a bad way.  We often are plagued by our internal thoughts, frequently by the fact that we don’t believe we can be successful, not believing in our capabilities to turn things around. You must  get the majority of your thoughts, words, and actions to believing that everything is possible. You must believe it at both a conscious level and unconscious. And most importantly you must believe in yourself.

Believing means you have absolutely no doubts. You stand firm, without any hesitation. You have total unbreakable faith. You remain steadfast in your beliefs no matter what is happening in the outside world. Without any doubts, you have the ability to transform all your weakness’ and struggles around. You can create a wonderful, happy, successful life for yourself.  You just have to believe. Start BELIEVING!

Do you believe 100% in yourself? Do you believe you can achieve everything you desire? Please comment.

This post helps to bring back the long lost hope. Liked it 🙂 Okay, I will try giving those 15 minutes to me to be grateful for the things I possess. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

    • LarryLewis says:

Shreya there’s always hope, and there’s always opportunity. We all work hard to survive and prosper. We all aspire for more, dreaming of the possibilities. We of course all have to overcome challenges and problems. But we can always find 15 minutes, and we can also always find things to be grateful for in our lives. So definitely give it a go.

  2. Another great post, Larry!
    Thanks for sharing.

    • LarryLewis says:

Jan we are always improving, learning and changing. When we are aware of the difference between positive and negative thoughts, then we can take control of our thoughts, although yes it can take a little time to perfect it.

Mike, will be taking a look. There are no doubts we control our thinking, and if we positively take that control our lives would be visibly so much better.

Bongo I know that you are working at that very task, removing the memories and thoughts. Keep at it, you will get there. And keep blogging because that’s your special medicine.

Keeping a gratitude journal is good for the soul too, 15 minutes out of 24 hours is a drop in the ocean but it makes a huge difference to our lives. Great post once again Larry.

    • LarryLewis says:

sulekha you are absolutely right. We can always find a measly 15 minutes if we want to. And this use of our time has such tremendous benefit to our lives.

    Hi Larry

It can be really hard to control our thoughts, especially for those who feel as if they are a slave to they thoughts and feelings. But putting your attention on things that you can be grateful for really does work. It takes time and persistence to get into the habit but it’s worth it.

I have a gratitude journal and think of at least 3 things I can be thankful for everyday.

If we are going to have habits I think this is a good one to cultivate!

    • LarryLewis says:

Lia. Great comment. Many people do struggle so much with getting control over their thoughts and a gratitude journal without a doubt is a tremendous way to direct your mind and thoughts.

  8. LarryLewis says:

Ryan I think I need to hire you to do my advertising copywriting. Great words mate, thank you.

  9. Jym | Ultradian Rhythms says:

Thanks for sharing this sound advice Larry…

Gratitude certainly puts us in a much better state for actively engaging with and directing the flow of our life, opening up more to the opportunities, people and circumstances which are more ‘favourable’

It is all in the mind. Even when our life situation seems beyond our control, we are still free to see it in different ways, and that makes a huge difference in the way we experience our lives.
