How to Move Forward in Life

Are you at a crossroads in your life but afraid to move in a positive, forward direction? Today I am going to look at how to move forward in life.

Don’t dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.

Raise your sails to the winds of opportunity. Even if there has been no opportunity for a while keep your sails raised so that as soon as a favourable wind arrives you are ready to be taken to success.

Imagine two boats ready to race. The crew of one of them remains in a state of readiness with their sails raised whilst the other crew thinking that there will be no breeze that day just sits around playing card games. Now when a strong breeze suddenly blows who will have the advantage?

My personal experience has shown me that the most important skill you need to acquire in order to move forward is the ability to solve problems. I said solve problems, so what I really mean is focus on solutions rather than problems.

But when was the last time you stopped, looked at your life, and considered where your life was heading. So often we get so wrapped up with dealing with our everyday problems, exhausted by our battle to survive, we forget to look forward and determine where we are heading. This way of thinking, or more like not thinking, is creating more problems for you.

Nothing gets better if you are heading the wrong way.

So here is what I suggest you do. Take a good look at your life, habits, thoughts, and actions. Then ask myself: “Am I headed in the right direction? Will my actions today lead to better days and happiness tomorrow?”

Whatever you do, don’t throw in the towel and given up on tasking your life forward. In fact let your dreams be what spurs you on in tough times and look ahead to the life you want to live, and take action to move yourself forward. Every day do something to get closer to your dreams.

Get yourself moving, and remember, what you believe you can do, you can do

The main thing that you need to remember is that you can not give up, nor allow yourself to stand still.
