Get In The Right Mindset This Year

Having the right mindset plays a massive part in healthy lifestyle changes. In fact getting into the right mindset is essential for attracting success in any area of your life.

Mindset has been defined as “A fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person’s responses to and interpretations of situations”.  It’s the way you see yourself and life in general.  It’s the set of beliefs you have, and it affects everything you do.

If you fail to direct your thoughts to a positive direction, taking control of your own mind, your negativity will drag you down, beacause ‘ a man shape his own World from the rich and unlimited substance within and around him’ with his thoughts, emotions, actions, words and actions.

Now the real question is, how can people change their mindset?

Negative thoughts will always keep popping into your head. You’re human after all. But you can manage these thoughts transform them so they do not stop you.

Every day fill yourself with positivity.  Read, watch or listen to something that will fill your mind with what’s possible, to fill yourself with the belief that you can accomplish anything in your life.

And End every day by giving thanks:

  • For the 5 things you’re grateful for
  • For the 5 things you’ve  learned today
  • For the 1 thing you did today that moved you closer to your goal

Today I will leave the final word to Will Smith, who shares his success philosophy, let this fill you with positivity:

Linda from the first time i read your blog i knew here was another inspiring blogger, with even more talents than me dam you, lol, but great minds they say, Will Smith is both an awesome actor and a brilliant motivator. One of life’s winners, gracious in his desire to share the secrets.

  2. Will Smith is in inspiration to me from the get-go. He has overcome so much in his lifetime and has such a great, powerful outlook on life. I try to make a point of having a positive thought in my mind before I ever crawl out of the bed in the morning. It tends to lend to a much better and productive day for me, no matter what is going on 🙂

Mary, we all know life can be tough, and obstacles tend to crop up, but by believing in ourselves, and what’s possible, we really can achieve anything. Wouldn’t it be great, to one day look back at all that ‘crap’ that once was happening in our lives, knowing we had got through it, and our lives were now fantastic. Let some of Will Smith’s attitude rub off … then watch out world …. Mary’s coming!

Will has got it going on! He has a knack for putting it all into simple concepts. Love this: “I’m not particularly talented. I just have a ridiculously serious work ethic.”

Savy how easy it is for us to just live day by day, allowing each day to just be another 24 hours passing. Before we know it, to much time has been allowed to run away. So yes by taking time to reflect on each and every day is an exercise worth everything!
