We all know that it is important for us to be living a healthy lifestyle, we want to be able to do it, however frequently we will find reasons why we can’t.

There are no doubts that living a healthy lifestyle requires commitment, the truth is that it really isn’t that difficult, particularly once you find the right motivation.

Every one of us wants to stay healthy and enjoy a vibrant life, but this alone doesn’t seem to be enough to get you to stick with doing what’s necessary to be living a healthy lifestyle. You need something more to push you through to do what’s necessary and stick with it.

The key to living a healthy lifestyle is find the one thing that will motivate you personally, it’s your hot button, the reason that you will give 100% commitment to this as your target no matter what. It becomes your driving force empowering the changes you need to make.

Simple lifestyle choices — what you eat, how active you are, whether you smoke, how much alcohol you drink, all have an enormous impact on your longevity and quality of life. These are choices you have the freedom to make. So if living a healthy lifestyle is important to you then you will make the right choices.

The choices we make about how we live will have a major effect on your health.

So isn’t it time you started to make the right healthy choices that will benefit your life. You know what these are but let me remind you.

Get exercise for a minimum of half an hour each day although exercising for 45 minutes to an hour is even better!

Drinking water throughout the day will rehydrate your systems, replenish you and reduce appetite. Don’t believe me? Try it!.

Sleep for between 6 to 8 hours nightly making sure you give enough time for the body to heal, recharge its “batteries,” regenerate new cells, rest the mind and allow the immune system to function at its highest capacity.

Take time to appreciate life. Slow down. What’s the rush? Take a stroll in a park with nature. Walk slowly. Enjoy the natural scenery!

Exercise your brain. Allowing positive thoughts and happy memories to be predominantly the way you think and feel will bring about a much healthier you than one weighed down by negativity and unhappiness.

Eat healthy foods that will help you feel full longer and provide plenty of nutrients to the body include

fresh vegetables, fruit, grains, beans and legumes, Healthy fats (extra virgin olive oil, nuts, avacado), Fish and seafood, other sources of protein (such as lean meats, eggs, chicken and turkey).

There are no secrets to living a healthy lifestyle, but you need the motivation to actually do what’s necessary. Is the time right now for you to at last do it.
