The Game of Life

One of the most important rules of life I’ve followed is that life is not a battle, it is a game!

I learnt this many years ago through the wisdom of Florence Shinn in her book The Game Of Life & How To Play It. She teaches that life is a game and isn’t meant to be a battle or struggle.

Personal growth is a series of trials, errors, victories and setbacks, failed experiments are as much a part of the learning as successful ones. The Game of Life is no different to those games we play in our recreation. It is inevitable that things will not always turn out as you would wish, but that is part of developing towards wisdom.

To understand that you can play the game of life and become a winner is a key lesson for you to learn.

“Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.

Whatever we imagine, sooner or later externalises in our life. I have complete belief that our thoughts determine our life.  As Marcus Aurelius  said “Our life is what our thoughts make it.”  By simply changing the way we think, we can change our lives.

It feels so real to us what we think, even if it is completely false. If we think it is true, we respond and act as though it is. Our thoughts are so key to the outcome of our life that we need to take control of them. You and I are responsible for our lives and we need to take responsibility; it all starts in our thoughts.

It is impossible to change our lives unless and until we change our thoughts. Your mind can be a your best ally or your worst enemy, and you alone have the ability to choose what it will be. When you take control over them you will experience a great improvement in every area of your life.

Your life unfolds according to what you draw to it, as determined by your consciousness and thoughts. By taking the responsibility for yourself and your thinking process, you can make your life more positive and uplifting, and bring to you those things you desire.

It’s as the Law of Attraction teaches us, that you attract into your life whatever you think about. Your dominant thoughts will find a way to manifest.

A man is but the product of his thoughts – what he thinks, he becomes.  Mahatma Gandhi

It is time for you to realize that you have a powerful force inside of you, and that is the power of thought.

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent. Arnold Schwarzenegger

For many it seems almost impossible to control their thoughts. They rush through our minds like stampeding cattle or sheep.

In order to win in this game of life, you have to think like a winner. There is one key difference between the winners and the losers of life, and that is in the way they think.

We can all learn to control our thoughts.

Your success and happiness in life depend upon doing so.

Regardless what has happened to you in your life, how young or old you think you might be, the moment you begin to think properly, this power within you, will begin to emerge, take over your life, feed you, clothe you, guide you, protect you, direct you, just turn your very existence, if you let it.
