How To Trigger The Natural Healing Process

Today I want to share something with you of upmost importance and that is your body has the ability to heal itself. It can correct health problems from illnesses to injury because of the natural healing process.

You see our bodies literally have an innate desire to feel better, to be able to do and enjoy more and are equipped with powerful healing mechanisms that will typically self-correct most health problems, if you provide it with the nutrients and lifestyle it was designed for and requires.

Alas there’s the problem. Most of you reading this lead a lifestyle where you are creating illness from the choices you are making. The good news is you can make changes.

My most recent blog ‘How to get back to Health’ contains many of the lifestyle changes you have to make in order to activate your natural healing process, and today I’ll confirm those that simply have to be implemented to enable healing to begin.

Do you want to repair your body?

Do you want to overcome health disorders?

Do you want the vitality that comes with optimum health?

If you answered yes to any one of those questions, then you need to start harnessing your body’s own extraordinary natural healing power.

It is through the implementation of lifestyle changes that you can literally switch on this natural healing process.

Living a healthy lifestyle means you are actively pursuing the highest level of health possible for your body.

So, let’s make this clear, while the body can heal itself naturally, it cannot do it properly if you are constantly flooding it with unhealthy choices.

Things are difficult for many of you I’m sure.

Many of you will have got to the point where you been struggling so long with ill health that you no longer believe anything can help.

For people who are medically ill, keeping an optimistic outlook can be tough. I certainly can testify to that. Illness is scary and forces us to deal with uncertainty, a lack of control, surrendering to doctors, and the reality that life is finite. All of that is pretty frightening and difficult, so there is no surprise that our minds become completely negative and after trying to find a solution unsuccessfully we totally lose hope.

More than 15 million people – 30 percent of the UK population – live with one or more long-term conditions according to the Department of Health (2011).

Most of you have probably found yourself spinning in circles trying to figure out what the best things to do are. I became very confused and frustrated at the lack of a clear path to obtain the true health I desired!

Yet I assure you healing is possible. So, you have to start believing in the power of healing, through the natural healing process.

Your body is typically on autopilot to self-heal. For example, when you fall down and bruise yourself, aside from making sure you clean any open wounds to prevent any infections, you don’t need to do anything more to get better. Your body has built-in repair systems to take care of the damage. That’s our natural healing process at work.

If you supply your body with an optimal diet and lifestyle, avoid exposure to the ever-increasing threats of toxins, then your body, following its design, will move toward health and away from disease.

Yet many of us switch off this built-in capacity to heal by the lifestyles we live.

Equally as bad, we rely solely on our doctors and the medicines they prescribe to help us heal and recover from illness. From my own experience and that of many others there are alternative healing options that may be better for treating diseases than the standard medical treatments consisting of drugs, surgery, radiation or other therapies. Implementing the right lifestyle choices is most definitely one of our best options.

It is time for you to make better choices. Let me provide you with some of the key lifestyle changes you need to make to wake up your natural healing process.

Getting a full night’s sleep

Getting a full night’s sleep, every night, can prevent many diseases. Our body uses very little energy when we sleep so it can focus on healing and cell regeneration. The average adult needs 8 hours of sleep while children need 11 to 12 hours per day. Don’t ignore this because it is essential on your journey to healing.

Fast 16 hours daily

This massive change is the one that contributed in a big way to my health transformation. I swear by intermittent fasting, where you fast for 16 hours, including 8 hours sleeping, and then you consume all your food in an 8 hour window. Fasting puts the body in a condition where it can turn its attention to flushing out the causes of body miseries giving your overworked and overburdened internal organs ample rest and time for rehabilitation and permits them to become 100% efficient in healing your body. This is something I would recommend anyone to do and would be happy to answer any questions you may have about how to get started.

Plant Based Eating

If you read my blog regularly you won’t have missed the fact that 8 months ago I decided to cut out eating all animal products and this went a huge way to helping my health improvements. It wasn’t easy to start, after all I’d been eating animal products, meat and dairy all my life. But the effort was worth it. Consuming a healthy, nutrient rich diet improves the body’s natural healing process. Avoiding processed foods, preservatives, artificial additives and anything that doesn’t come in its natural form, as well as all foods derived from animals is life changing by how it impacts the natural healing process. Supplying the body with the correct nutrients that it has not had before in sufficient quantity, will help the body to awaken to proper functioning, leading to sooner or later, greater energy and well being and a more effective hormonal, circulatory, digestive and immune system.

Regular exercise

Regular exercise helps the body become stronger. It conditions the cardiovascular system to pump stronger. It improves stamina, promotes balance and strengthens the body’s core. Exercise also aids in reducing emotional stress and improving sleep. Another essential lifestyle change if you are going to begin healing. As I’ve written many times before walking at a reasonable pace is a great form of exercise to do.

Drink Water

There is now virtually universal agreement that we need to drink at least 2 pints of clean, pure water daily. Many health disorders are due partly to chronic dehydration, and in fact most of us are chronically dehydrated which contributes to aging, as our cells and our DNA spirals dehydrate, we deteriorate. So drinking clean water, with nothing more than maybe a touch of lemon or lime is another lifestyle practice you have to implement.

Practice stress reduction techniques.

If you practice regularly, stress reduction techniques such as meditation, progressive muscle relaxation or deep breathing you can help your body relax and activate the natural healing process. The relaxation response is a profoundly healing state. In fact it may be the most fundamental healing state of which you are capable, for what happens in this state is that all of your inborn tendencies toward balance and harmony are allowed to express themselves.

The key to creating the relaxation response is calming your mind. To encourage your mind to heal your body you must use stress reduction techniques, simple.

It’s up to you, through your behavior, actions, and choices, to support the healing process. Living a healthy lifestyle is absolutely essential.

Good luck!

    Hi Larry,
My query is regarding intermittent fasting, during intermittent fasting if we delay breakfast time then it would cause some other problems with blood sugar like skipping meals do.

Please do let me know if that causes similar impact on the body

In a study, published October 9, 2018, in the journal BMJ Case Reports, intermittent fasting reportedly helped three middle-aged men with type 2 diabetes lose weight, get off their insulin, and reduce or get off their oral medication. There is still much debate, but there have been many positive indications that fasting is one of the best ways to restore good health and support the healing process,
