The Power of Believing In Yourself

Do you have days where you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be? We all face challenges in our lives and it is up to us to get through them. You can, because you have all the power to do so within you. Only you can take the initial step towards unleashing this power within you.

Do you know what this power is, so you can harness it?

It’s the unshakable confidence in your ability to achieve anything you really put your mind to.

This is telling you that if you truly believe in your own abilities, you will give yourself the best chance of success. Even when times get hard. I’ve just told one of my colleagues how hard it is today for me to write a blog post. Why? Because I’m full of cold. Well I actually said I’ve got man flu, because I truly feel absolutely dreadful.

No matter how tough things can get, when you completely believe in yourself, you know you can win through. So I’m sitting here at my lap top, I’m going deep within myself and seeing what comes out of my mind. I am reliant on my inner voice today to deliver for me something at least half descent for you my readers to enjoy.

When you believe in yourself:

• You recognize your ability to accomplish goals.

• You’re optimistic about the future as you set goals and achieve them.

• Deep down inside, you know you can do anything.

• You treat yourself kindly.

• You feel uplifted and more satisfied with life.

• You’re motivated to get things done.

• You have faith, no matter what.

• You see and enjoy the abundance around you.

So in truth I know that by the end of this session I will have a blog post that I will be happy with. For me to be happy, it means I believe that it will inspire and motivate, or at least educate. I totally believe that I am capable of getting everything done that I want to. That is no doubts one of my strengths. I surprise myself at times by the things I can do. There’s no magic to it, it’s simple, belief in your own ability, as well as belief in the outcomes you will achieve.

Believing in yourself is essential for success. If you don’t believe in yourself you end up being your worse enemy. So many people I have met in life have what I call a self destruct button. Does this possibly describe you?

You criticise yourself continuously. You have a habit of putting yourself down. You highlight every failure in your life. You doubt your chances of success. Even when opportunities are there for you, you are certain something will come about to stop them from happening.

What’s that voice that you so frequently hear in your head. You know the one. That doubting Thomas, the one that tells you that you’re not good enough, you’ll never succeed and that you’ll never amount to much.

Yet when you believe in yourself, anything is possible, you could do whatever you put your mind to. Even when it is full of cold. . I think this is best illustrated by Roger Bannister’s story. Prior to his achievement of running a mile in four minutes, it was thought this was impossible. Yet once he achieved it, within a year 37 other runners broke the barrier too. When you believe something is possible, it is! Belief makes you unstoppable!

So what can you take from this? What can you do to start believing in yourself and your abilities?

That’s me done for today, back to my lemon and honey, my mum’s age old remedy.

I was the one with the doubting Thomas in my head allowing him to rent prime space and sabotage me at the same time. I have finally evicted him. The journey of life will always offer us some wonderful exciting moments and times, but it will also bring us our ‘down’ periods. After all we are learning all the time, and have to experience all emotions, and develop our successes through our failures. When we take the time to reflect on what we have done, and what we do, we will recognize those things that don’t serve us, and then we can eliminate them so we can move things forward in leaps and bounds. You have gone through the process and now you’re reading to strike out, so enjoy the next part of your journey, i know you will
