Commitment Your Key To Success

Making a clear and definite commitment is the secret key to achieving your goals.

If there’s anything that you want, any goal you want to achieve, you must be fully committed. It is this commitment that will determine your outcomes.

[cmsmasters_quotes mode=”grid” columns=”1″ animation_delay=”0″][cmsmasters_quote name=”James Womack”]Commitment unlocks the doors of imagination, allows vision, and gives us the “right stuff” to turn our dreams into reality.[/cmsmasters_quote][/cmsmasters_quotes]

We all face obstacles in pursuing our goals, whether they’re professional or personal.

We think we’re on the right track but realize we’ve chosen the wrong approach. We’re enthusiastic and hard-working, but our support system disintegrates when we need them the most. We’re just about to make significant progress when we run out of time or funding. Temptation keeps coming our way until we can no longer refuse it, which may be that meal that breaks your diet, or the cigarette that ends your quit smoking attempt.

Tenacious as we may be, we all have our breaking points—that moment when the potential rewards stop justifying the effort.

Commitments may be easy to make, but the hard work comes through the following through, the sticking with this commitment.

When people do not make a full sincere commitment, they are only involved as long as things go well. With no commitment, they can change their mind at any time, and as soon as things get the slightest bit tough, they do change their mind and give up their goals and dreams.

Success has many ingredients, but certainly the main one is commitment. “The moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too,” is a famous quote attributed to Scottish explorer W.H. Murray.

A true commitment means that you will hold to it with your life, and you are willing to die in its achievement. Certainly you need not die to achieve your goals, but are you that committed? This is the key to success of the great achievers in history.

If you do not make a commitment about yourself, your life, your direction, your daily activities and of course your goal, then nothing can happen other than by chance. Without a firm commitment, you hold your life in a state of limbo, and you will not progress.

You can sit here reading this right now and I am sure that you have experienced starting out with something that you really wanted to do and achieve, then after a month or so you become side lined and then that was it, you got distracted or disheartened and didn’t follow through with what you wanted so much.

We may be talking about a long term goal like building that online business, or an immediate goal of losing a stone in weight this month. If a goal is really important to you, something that you really want, then commit yourself 100%.

I have always found that you will not achieve much if you do not stay committed on what you really want.

So decide what you really want, and then make the commitment!
