You all need to wake up to one thing in double quick time, and that is, if you aren’t already financially secure for life, it’s time to stop playing small.</p>
<p>In fact you’d better  “get real.”  It’s up to you, and only you to figure out what you need to do to live the life you want, now and in the future.  It’s time to get realistic about what you have and what you don’t.  Decide what’s important to you and what’s not.  Then create for yourself the opportunities to get what it is you want.</p>
<p>Right here, right now, in this moment, make the choice to stop blaming others or circumstances and fully take responsibility for your life.  Make the decision to create a brilliant new chapter in your life, and seize the possibilities life has to offer.</p>
<p>I believe that anyone can accomplish anything that they totally put their mind, body and soul to and live the life they were meant to live.</p>
<p>But there’s nothing quite as powerful as the moment of clarity when you suddenly see what’s really possible for you.  You see how small you’ve been thinking.  You realize that you can play a much bigger game.</p>
<p>Today, I don’t want to give you a thousand words to read, instead I want to open your mind and get you thinking. More importantly I want you to start dreaming, dreaming big, and bold.</p>
<p>Are you creating the life you want or simply settling for mediocrity?</p>
<p>Are you in the career of your dreams?</p>
<p>Is there much more you want out of life?</p>
<p>Do you dare dream it?</p>
<p>You need a vision to provide yourself with a sense of direction. You need the courage to imagine a better life. What vision could you imagine for yourself?</p>
<p>So what&#8217;s on your list? I&#8217;m talking about your List for Life. That list where you&#8217;ve written down all the unbelievable, memorable, plain-crazy, wonderful things you want to do with and in your life. A list of everything you want to accomplish in your life. I want you to create your you’ve-got-to-be-joking list. Where you write all those things you dare not dream about, but you know which would change your life so much for the better.</p>
<p>Think of the type of huge goal that terrifies you because it feels unattainable. Now ask yourself why you feel that way.  Is the goal too big?  To unreasonable?  Too scary? Too personally demanding?  Or is it just you dare not believe you could possibly achieve such a fantastic dream.</p>
<p>Get yourself thinking, can’t be that hard, what dreams really excite you. Maybe like me you wanted a dramatic career change into your late 40’s. I did it. Maybe you wanted to move lock stock and barrel to a new country. I’ll be doing that within the next 18 months.  Start dreaming! Dream of yourself in the future, living a life that is light years better than the one you currently have.</p>
<p>Too often our dreams take a back seat to mundane living.  Before we know it, years can go by and our dream is still that – a dream, only older and seemingly further away than ever.</p>
<p>So let me ask you now “What did you used to think you were going to be?” Now can I ask you “Is life so fantastic, that you wouldn’t swap it for this dream?” Well if life isn’t that great get it on your list, and this time go for it, and don’t stop, until you make it happen.</p>

<p>It begins with blocking out negativity from your life. This will help you to create the future of your dreams.</p>

Suddenly you begin attracting positive things into your life. The first steps to removing negative influences is to isolate yourself from anything that will stir up negativity in your life such as  tv, radio, newspapers, computer programs, negative people and their dramas. You will need to do this for thirty days.</p>
<p>Removing negative people from your life is not always possible. So you need to develop the ability to recall your perfect day when they are puking negativity over you.</p>

My main book was &#8220;think and grow rich&#8221; during that period. I am sure you will find a plethora of books on personal development. Choose several that you like and reconnect with taking time to enjoy a good book.</p>

<p>This is a big one for once you are involved with a harmonious mastermind group also working hard on removing negativity from their programming then the process becomes easier. Once again their are many groups you can join seek them out. Or you could just get together with a few close trusted friends who want  to join you on this journey.</p>
<p>Make a decision to use the remove negative programming guide to change your life. Why wallow in negativity when you can create the life of your dreams. It starts of with a decision to want to change your life.</p>

I will begin with a case study and tell you his story. I am currently working with a student who asked that very question of himself. The first time he came to my office he posed the question what is adult dyslexia?</p>
<p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">It just didn&#8217;t add up?</span></em></p>
<p>This gentleman presented himself  immaculately and was very articulate. In fact it was difficult to get a word in at times. He had me wandering why on earth at the age of twenty nine he would come to me for tutoring lessons. He proceeded to tell me that he had difficulty with his reading, writing and spelling.</p>
<p>It just didn&#8217;t add up. How could somebody who was seemingly so intelligent have such issues.</p>
<h3>Tell tale signs of adult dyslexia</h3>
<p>This initiated my research on adult dyslexia.  It seems that people with dyslexia learn to mask their learning issues from an early age. My student recalls being treated differently as a child. He recalls being called stupid and people not allowing him to speak or to listen to him. This created a situation where he felt different. Not knowing how to handle this he became angry and lashed out at his cousins and friends. Unfortunately this earned him the label of a brat, so he wore it proudly as a way to attract everybody&#8217;s attention. He still recalls all of this very vividly. When he talks to his parents about it <span style="line-height: 22px;">now</span><span style="line-height: 22px;"> </span>they avoid the discussion.</p>
<p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">More tell tale signs</span></em></p>
<p>As you dig deeper into adult dyslexia you discover how clever and resourceful these people are. My student&#8217;s parents explained to him how they tried everything to help him succeed at school. They provided private tutors to help him cope at school. Unfortunately all of the tutors labelled him as unteachable as he had this way of diverting his lessons to a game of soccer instead. He learnt to manipulate situations so he was in control and therefore distracted everybody from realising his inability to process information the same way everybody else could.</p>
<p>Adult dyslexia can be summed up by a simple phrase being frustrated at not being able to show how much you have to offer in the traditional academic way.</p>
<p>This situation begins as a child and lingers on  into adulthood if not picked up early and an intervention program is put into place.</p>
<p>It comes in all guises and in varying degrees. It can turn a simple reading out loud situation into a nightmare. It can deprive people of their <a  href="https://www.healthylifestylesliving.com/teenager-lifestyle-guide/teenager-lifestyle-guide-self-esteem/">self esteem</a> and turn them into social outcasts. It can bring about anxiety and depression.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Adult dyslexia should not become baggage for your life!</strong></span></p>
<p>At the age of 29 my student has decided to turn things around. He is tired of the pity party that he has been  on for the last ten years. He has reached out for help. He is now reading &#8216;think and grow rich&#8221; by Dr. Napoleon Hill.</p>
<p>This he was very reluctant to do. He was adamant that he needed to learn to spell. If only he could spell then his life would be better. His frustration took him back to wanting to be at school where he had avoided everything. Maybe he could start all over again ?</p>
<p>I could see he was reliving the nightmare yet my continual steering him to find what he was good at and build up his confidence through that was met with deaf ears.</p>
<p>To the point that I no longer wanted to continue with the sessions. We seemed to be at logger heads and I could not persuade him to move on.</p>
<p><em>What made him move on?</em></p>
<p>Well he began to understand what adult dyslexia is and realised that he had learning issues all the way through his schooling. So the brat label actually came from his frustration and not being as smart as everybody else as he puts it. The amazing part is that this programming is so entrenched on his brain that he actually believes he is not as smart as everybody else. So part of the healing process is to undo the negative programming he endured all the way through his life so far.</p>
<p>Often perpetrated by himself. He has been blaming himself for what life has dealt him.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>No more!</em></span></p>
<p>He now opens up about his childhood and all the negative experiences he has faced. Not long ago he finished his first book from cover to cover. Every day he makes new discoveries about himself and his childhood programming. He has begun the journey of realising how his reaction to dyslexia is much worse than dyslexia itself. He is developing strategies for decoding unknown text and is making good progress however he is still reluctant to read out loud.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>Making changes</em></span></p>
<p>If you have been making excuses about your ability to read and write. If you find spelling difficult. If your level of intelligence is not reflected in your academic ability. If you recall avoiding many reading and writing activities. Don&#8217;t let these hurdles inhibit you from taking the opportunities life presents you with. Nature has a way of levelling out the playing field. You will find you are gifted in other areas such as big picture thinking, feeling empathy for others. Dyslexic people are highly creative, intuitive, and excel at three-dimensional problem solving and hands-on learning.</p>
<p>Once you appreciate these gifts and now that you have read this article, maybe the time is to stop asking what is adult dyselxia? Instead ask, how do I step up and become one of the greatest successes and more proof that those who have it can reach the top in life.</p>

<p>What’s the point of spending time visualising? The concept is simple: what your mind sees and is truly made to believe becomes your reality.</p>
<p>Through visualization you can actively create a state, situation, or goal that you want to physically manifest in your life. Your imagination is a very powerful tool to help your achieve what you want in life.</p>
<p>I can’t overstate the power of visualization.</p>

<p>Your brain sees no difference whatsoever between visualizing something and actually doing it. This is best demonstrated by Jack Nicklaus</p>
<p>&#8220;I never hit a shot, not even in practice, without having a very sharp, in focus picture of it in my head. It&#8217;s like a colour movie. First I see the ball where I want it to finish, nice and white and sitting up high on bright green grass. Then the scene quickly changes and I see the ball going there: its path, trajectory and shape, even its behaviour on landing. Then there is a sort of fade out and the next scene shows me making the kind of swing that will turn the previous images into reality.&#8221;</p>
<p>Jack Nicklaus pretty much plays every shot in his head before putting it into action on the course. At his prime, he was the world’s best golfer.</p>
<p>So how are you going to use visualization? The first step is for you to decide what you want to visualize. What positive things would you like to see in you life. Once you have made your decision, that you are absolutely certain what you want, then visualize this every single morning, bringing it to life in your mind.</p>
<p>When you visualize your goals as already complete each and every day, it creates a conflict in your subconscious mind between what you are visualizing and what you currently have. Your subconscious mind tries to resolve that conflict by turning your current reality into the new, more exciting vision. It goes to work finding anything that will support you in making this situation a reality. It searches for solutions.</p>
<p>The process of visualizing is simple. All you have to do is close your eyes and see your goals as already complete. Let’s say your goal is to own a beautiful house on the beach. Close your eyes and see yourself walking through the exact house you would like to own. Fill in all of the details. What does the exterior look like? How is it landscaped? What kind of view does it have? What do the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, dining room, family room, and den look like? How is it furnished? Go from room to room and fill in all of the details. Add in the sound of the surf lapping at the shore outside your home and the sound of kids playing on the sand. Then add in the feelings of pride of ownership, satisfaction at having achieved your goal, and the feeling of the sun on your face as you sit on your deck looking out over the ocean at a beautiful sunset</p>
<p>Make the images as clear and bright as possible. This goes for any goal you make. Be warned, of the opposite effect, if you are constantly feeding your mind negative, fearful, and anxious pictures—guess what?—it will achieve those, instead.</p>
<p>Set aside time each and every day to visualize every one of your goals as already complete. This is one of the most vital things you can do to make your dreams come true.</p>
<p>To begin, sit down or lay down in a quiet, undisturbed area that is as free from distractions as possible. Start with deep breathing, and picture a wave of peace moving up your body&#8230;first in your toes, up through your feet, into your legs and so on until you have covered all parts of the body. For a few minutes, don&#8217;t try to visualize. Just feel the absolute peace and calmness moving through your body and picture all stress leaving your body with each exhale.</p>
<p>Once you feel relaxed, start allowing images to float into your mind of whatever it is you want to visualize. Let&#8217;s say, for example, you want to own that beach house as I’ve mentioned above. Picture it in your head. When any other thoughts come in, you know those distracting thoughts, immediately push those thoughts aside and get back to your visualization.</p>
<p>Here are a few suggestions to help make your visualization more powerful and successful:</p>
<ol>
<li>Always begin your visualization in a relaxed state.</li>
<li>See, hear, and feel as much detail as possible.</li>
<li>Use all your senses.</li>
<li>Maintain control over your imagery.</li>
<li>To strengthen the effect of your image, make it brighter, more colorful, closer, larger, louder, and sharper.</li>
<li>Enjoy the process.</li>
</ol>
<p>Visualization is a wonderful power. Visualization is one of the most powerful things you can do on a regular basis to achieve your goals and become the person you want to be. Use this power consciously and continuously to create the kind of future you want for yourself.</p>

If I didn’t place these on a list, I would undoubtedly end up spending time doing some of them, time which could be better spend doing things far more productive. We all have only 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week. Time is something that cannot be bought or sold. Once it’s gone, you can’t get it back. Do you sometimes find yourself at the end of the evening thinking to yourself what on earth have I been doing all day?</p>
<p>Maybe you’ve been letting too much time slip away doing to many unproductive things. It is so easy to lose yourself in certain activities, that may be enjoyable but which have absolutely no benefit to you or your life. You have to start to control your time so as to cut out non-essential activities to ensure you get more out of the time you’ve got.</p>
<p>Yesterday I wrote “It seems you are always working against the clock. You’ve always got more to do than hours in the day to do it. So how you spend your time is a key strategic decision. That’s why it’s a good idea to create a to do list and an ignore list”.</p>
<p>To me this ignore list is equally important as the to-do-list. You could refer to it as a “Not To Do List”.</p>
<p>There is so much written about how to make the most of your time. Time management articles are to be found everywhere. These contain some really great information. You will always be told as a first step to determine where you are wasting time. To do this they’ll suggest you should start recording how you spend your time currently. It will continue by saying that a good way of doing this is simply using a diary to note down your activities throughout the day in order to monitor where your time is going. Then at the end of the week, set aside some time to review your schedule. Look to see how much time was wasted.</p>
<p>The truth is most people know where they waste time. They are completely aware which activities they spend way too much time on which basically have no benefit to them.</p>

<p>I’m sure you have the best intentions to focus on the right things, but you end up spending too much valuable time on small, unproductive and time wasting activities that take you away from these things you should be doing. You need to get rid of the tasks that do not contribute to your personal productivity and the distractions that need to be avoided</p>
<p>Some of the most common time wasters include:</p>
<ol>
<li>Watching TV.</li>
<li>Lengthy Internet Surfing and Social Networking.</li>
<li>Mobile phone Texting.</li>
<li>Video games.</li>
<li>Dealing with Phone Call interruptions.</li>
<li>Dealing with E-mails.</li>
<li>Inadequate planning and lack of priorities.</li>
<li>Lack of organisation and paperwork handling.</li>
</ol>
<p>As a <a  href="https://www.healthylifestylesliving.com/liberate-the-mind/life-coaching/be-true-to-yourself/">life coach</a>, heavily involved in the internet world, I have worked with many people whose time wasting activities has degenerated into a serious problem. In certain cases they have fallen into a black hole, their lives being taken over by something which began as just a pastime that slowly became an addiction.</p>
<p>Examples of this are compulsive use of adult chat rooms, online gaming, <a  href="http://www.healthylifestylesliving.com/wellbeing/">online shopping</a> sites and online gambling. With the fact that the internet is now accessible from most smart phones as well as tablets, laptops, and computers some of these people are literally sucked in 24/7. Spending a lot of time online causes all types of problems, causing you to neglect your relationships, your work, and most things in your life.</p>
<p>Isn’t it time you started to contemplate this wasted time, before you throw too much more of it away. Ask yourself “Why do you spend all these hours, days and weeks of your precious time that you will never get back on things that have absolutely zero benefit?”</p>
<p>The easiest way to have a lot of time to be productive is by not wasting it on things that are unproductive. As a <a  href="http://www.healthylifestylesliving.com/location-independent-lifestyle/the-lifestyle-of-an-internet-entrepreneur/">lifestyle entrepreneur</a> I have to be very careful not to allow things such as Facebook, Twitter, Email, Skype, and other blogs suck me in to their little world to keep me from doing what I need to achieve. Minutes turn into hours and before you know it, you are spending more time on these distractions than you are on your actual work.</p>
<p>How do you stop yourself doing these activities that don’t seem to add any value, but still you seem to find yourself irresistibly drawn into them.</p>
<p>The best way to figure out the value of a task is to ask yourself, “What happens if I stop?” What would I be missing out on if I no longer had this in my life? What would I be able to do with the time I saved by not doing this activity any longer?</p>
<p>If you don’t assign value to the things you do, you can’t prioritize. If you can’t prioritize, you’re throwing away your time. It’s time you determined what are the things you need to be doing that are a priority in your life, that ultimately can take you where you want to go.</p>
<p>It’s possible to be more productive by cutting out all time spent on unproductive things. I can’t tell you what those things are, but you can certainly identify them. Once you cut out time-wasting activities you will notice a considerable difference in your productivity.</p>
<p>Here is my suggestion for you. Look at it as a little personal challenge for you. For the next 10 days, cut out everything from your life all the things that aren’t necessary to your business or family life. Basically cut out all the time-wasters in your life and instead focus on the things that are important to you.</p>
<p>So my time management tip for you is have two lists, one that’s your to-do-list and the other your ‘ignore list’. Don’t get the two confused, and you’ll make great use of your time, each and every day. Now work out what your two lists need to have on them.</p>

Could this help you? Is your productivity where you want it to be? Or are you under performing? Are you finding stress is increasing in your life? Maybe it has reached uncomfortable levels. Are today&#8217;s reality and tomorrow&#8217;s dreams miles apart for you? Maybe the bridge between the two is getting bigger day by day, alas it is for so many that I speak to. More often than not the reason for this is they are lacking in direction and purpose, and their days never seem to have any structure to them. How often do you make the time to construct your priorities and design your days? Time Management seems to be a subject where many of you are searching for solutions.</p>
<p>The bad news is, you will never be able to find more than 24 hours in the day. But the good news is that by just taking a little time to identify what needs to be done, organising the resources you require, and seeing clearly your highest priorities, you can ensure you’ll get so much more done than normal.</p>
<p>How often do you start your day with the best intentions, having a vague sense of what you want to accomplish, but things just don’t work out like planned. You end up fighting fires, dealing with problems, and handling whatever comes your way throughout the day.</p>
<p>It seems you are always working against the clock. You’ve always got more to do than hours in the day to do it. So how you spend your time is a key strategic decision. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s a good idea to create a to do list and an ignore list. It is essential you determine the few important things you can focus on to get the best use of your time.</p>
<p>A great influence on my life came from Jack LaLanne, the fitness, exercise, and nutritional expert and motivational speaker sometimes called &#8220;the godfather of fitness&#8221; who introduced me to a morning exercise ritual. He spent the first two hours of his day exercising. Ninety minutes lifting weights and 30 minutes swimming or walking. Every morning. And for many years this is what I did, and loved it.</p>
<p>It also showed me the benefit of regular routines. Anything worth doing is worth doing well and deliberately. You have to work consistently and deliberately, toward your goals. Those things you care about enough are worth building into your schedule.</p>
<p>So isn’t it time you started each day not only with the best intentions, but with a sense of knowledge that you will achieve everything you set out to do. You need to be creating a schedule for yourself where you focus on your priorities throughout the day.</p>
<p>One of my best routines is the 25 minutes I spend the end of every evening designing my next day schedule. I sit down with a blank piece of paper and ask myself ‘What can I genuinely achieve that will further my goals and allow me at the end of the day to feel like I’ve been productive and successful?’ It’s so important to be focused on the steps necessary to take you closer to the fulfilment of your goals.</p>
<p>Then I write down the activities I will need to perform. Once I’m happy with my list, I schedule each activity into time slots, beginning with the most important task. I will at the end of scheduling my timetable ensure I’ve accounted for each hour of my working day. It’s so important to manage your day hour by hour. Creating a schedule is highly important part of effective time management. It is very important to make sure, that this daily goals are realistic, possible to achieve.</p>
<p>During the night, your unconscious mind replays and processes this late-night input up to six times more often than anything else you experienced during the day. As you drift off to sleep, you enter into the alpha brain wave state of consciousness—a state in which you are very suggestible. It makes sure it organises the day ahead for you, so you are totally focused and ready to do what it is you have scheduled.</p>
<p>I also make sure I analyse my day’s performance. As I sit calmly in a state of quiet meditation, I see the events from the day just gone in my mind. I just observe them without any kind of judgment or self-criticism. When I have played through all the events of the day I then focus on each individual incident and replay it in my mind the way I would have preferred to have done it, if everything had been perfect. This creates a subconscious image that will help form the desired behavior the next time a similar situation occurs. It prepares me to be more conscious and deliberate the next time around. After all they say practice makes perfect. They also say learn from your mistakes. I find this time spend overviewing my day an awesome way to personally develop myself and my abilities.</p>
<p>Tomorrow I will pick up on creating your ‘ignore list’. How to make sure you no longer allow those time wasters to eat away at your valuable time.</p>
<p>Planning your day ahead will not just let you be organized but will also help you be far more productive and far less stressed. Try it for yourself, it really does work.</p>

You can puke over everybody else. Or you can see it is an opportunity to grow and turn things around. Adversity is the greatest teacher of opportunity.</dd>

<p>Recognise your adversity as an opportunity to grow. Don&#8217;t give up be buoyant in the knowledge that out of the ashes flourishes a whole new forest.</p>

<p><strong>Show gratitude for what you have.</strong>  Focus on the good things in your life. This will allow you to emit positive emotions. Once you are living your life in the positive emotions you begin attracting positive things towards you. This is the beginning of turning lemons into lemonade. The story that comes to mind for me here is my wise mentors story. Michael Dlouhy&#8217;s friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was not given long to live. Michael&#8217;s friend refused chemotherapy. He decided to attend the cancer clinic with his guitar. Instead of wallowing in self pity he played music for all the patients. This warmed the spirits of so many desolate people including his own. To cut a long story short Michael&#8217;s friend went on to live for another fifteen years without any treatment .</p>

<p><strong>Craft a plan to make things better. </strong>Take stock of your situation and assess it for what it is. When you are down as far as you can possibly go the only thing left is to get back up again. How you do this is very important. Make sure you have learnt from the past. Don&#8217;t dwell on it but make sure you don&#8217;t repeat the same mistakes again. Usually you are down in the rat hole because life is teaching you a lesson. Make sure you learn what it is. This becomes the starting point of your plan to make things better.</p>

<p>Reach out for help. You cant do it on your own. Once you reach out and ask for help you will be amazed at how much help you will actually get.</p>

<p>Your plan will need faith and perseverance. Make sure you live by these key ingredients and never ever give up.</p>

<p>Recognise the fear for what it is. Often it is not real. You have fabricated it into something that scares you. It&#8217;s your mind dwelling on past experiences and using these to sum up a new situation.</p>
<p>The solution is of course to live in the now. When you live in the now. You make the best decisions based on the information at your disposal for each and every situation. This means that the future is in good hands because you have  made the right decision. The best part is that the past remains in the past.</p>
<p>I will conclude with the opening phrase here because this is what you can control. How you react to what life has dealt you will be what shapes your life.</p>

<p>I define your full potential as being the best “you” that you can be. Being the most fulfilled you can be, the most on-purpose, and where you’re making the greatest difference in the world. Knowing who you are, what you’re good at, and how to maximize that for the benefit of you and everyone you touch.</p>
<p>Self-Development is taking personal responsibility for one&#8217;s own learning and development through a process of assessment, reflection, and taking action. The aim of self-development is to achieve your full potential whether that be in your professional or personal life.</p>
<p>Many people just meander through life as though making their way through a dark tunnel. It’s time you switched on the light. Your life has endless possibilities, but it is up to you to begin fulfilling them.</p>

<p>If like me you are interested in enriching your mind body spirit and ultimately nourishing your soul – then read on! This blog is all about helping you on your personal journey of self-development and enabling you to make the most of every single magical day.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re ready to change your life, reach your potential and create the success you&#8217;re craving. There is no quick and easy way to achieve this. Yet the journey to self-improvement is incredibly worthwhile and can result in deep, lasting change.</p>
<p>Improving your life by determining your hidden potential will radically help you achieve what you really want out of life. We all have the same amount of hours in the day, and it&#8217;s what you do with them that counts. I challenge you to do more with the time you have, and live your life to your full potential.</p>
<p>It requires taking a hard look at yourself, consciously deciding what kind of person you truly are on the inside, and then getting your actions to be consistent with your true self. The goal is to help you achieve outstanding effectiveness while maintaining internal balance, where your thoughts, feelings, actions, and skills are all working together to create the life you truly desire.</p>
<p>You need to support yourself to make the most of every moment; you need to help yourself make the best use of everything you have within. You need to keep cultivating yourself, constantly. Yes, continuous improvement of the self, is the key. That is what self-development is all about.</p>
<p>Really, there are all sorts of reasons we delay or abandon trying to get closer to our potential. However, remember we only have one life, and it is up to each and every one of us to make the most of that life. Every day is precious; every piece of knowledge you have is precious; every talent we have is precious. All should be exploited and developed to the full.</p>
<p>My belief and approach to life as well as to business is that by helping others we fulfil our own destiny. When I help someone and see that I make a difference; something happens, I get a sense of fulfilment, happiness and I feel a sense of purpose, a surge of energy.</p>
<p>We are all gifted with a unique set of skills and abilities. With those abilities we can make extra-ordinary things happen in the world around us. It is completely up to you what you want out of life and what difference you are going to make. But it’s a no brainer that the one person you should be helping is yourself. And that’s what taking personal responsibility is all about.</p>
<p>But what does taking personal responsibility really mean?</p>
<p>It means:</p>
<ul>
<li>Acknowledging that you are solely responsible for the choices in your life.</li>
<li>Accepting that you are responsible for what you choose to feel or think.</li>
<li>Accepting that you choose the direction for your life.</li>
<li>Accepting that you cannot blame others for the choices you have made.</li>
</ul>

<p>A great benefit of taking personal responsibility for our lives is not only do we gain control of what happens, we also tend to feel like we deserve more in life as your self-esteem builds and as you do the right thing more consistently. You feel better about yourself.</p>
<p>To take personal responsibility, and the action you would need to begin to make the changes, you have to find the desire within you, the motivation. To do this ask yourself these questions:</p>
<ol>
<li>What is it that you want to be? do? or have ?</li>
<li>If you could wave a magic wand over your life right now and have whatever it is that you want what would be there?</li>
<li>If, from the moment you wake up tomorrow morning your life is just perfect, how will you know?</li>
<li>What do you want so much that it brings a big grin to your face just thinking about it?</li>
<li>What would your life look like if it included the things you love?</li>
<li>What would your <a  href="https://www.healthylifestylesliving.com/liberate-the-mind/personal-development/the-evolution-of-your-ideal-life/">ideal life</a> look like if there were no limitations?</li>
<li>What would you love to do if you had all the money in the world?</li>
<li>What would you do if you knew you could not fail?</li>
<li>If you could just achieve one big goal what would it be?</li>
<li>What makes you say that is &#8216;Awesome&#8217;?</li>
</ol>
<p>Always remember, that self-improvement is driven by the desire for something that you really want.</p>
<p>You have the power to change your life &#8211; to acquire new skills and fully use the skills you now have. You can improve your performance, your productivity, and the quality of your whole life. It’s within you, so when you are ready, make the changes. Why not begin today?</p>
