Law of attraction and Larry Lewis
Finding the right fit
As a primary school teacher who has worked with young children I am reminded of the story of the ugly duckling as I write this story. It actually all began after school teaching started to become a chore. You know the classic burn out factor. At the age of fifty three I could no longer feel passionate about engaging with 25 or 26 willing children every single day of the week. This feeling and a desire to try something different before I was too old guided me to change careers. Luckily for me the education department provided a financial incentive for anybody who felt they needed a change.
So I began looking for something that I could do from home. This was very appealing to me I could work my own hours and get out of the rat race. So I began the search for any on line opportunities. So in a way I began to look for something that I felt I belonged to.
Health and wealth
I have always been interested in staying healthy and I used supplements so it felt like a natural progression to try network marketing with a nutrition company. I felt that my teaching background would be a decisive advantage here. I could educate people about their health. I was very enthusiastic and had some moderate success with distributing products. However signing up clients and building a team well there was something wrong there. It just didn’t seem to happen. So once again I was looking for something that I was missing. It seemed like I didn’t belong to this family as well.
Finding a system
I didn’t want to quit. I really enjoyed helping others obtain good health results. This was definitely a positive factor in my new career. The problem that I identified was that I needed a system to help me sponsor clients. To cut a long story short I did find a system. A free system that introduced me to blogging and personal development. Surely this was my family now?
Tension between blogging for leads and personal development
It became very clear to me that I enjoyed blogging. Writing had always been a passion for me from a very young age. I recall winning some tall story competition. I also recall feeling like one day I would like to write a book. So blogging became a rekindled passion. Yet I felt torn in two as I wanted to write about all the exciting new stuff that I was learning in personal development. However I was being guided to use my blog as a lead generation tool. This included a call to action for the sole purpose of generating leads to grow my business. Sure I was having some success. Somehow I just felt happier when I was writing about my inner journey and discovering my inner voice.
Law of attraction and Larry Lewis
Suddenly I was introduced to a blogger by the name of Larry Lewis. He had a brilliant idea of providing a course called All The Missing Pieces to help people who hadn’t quite pulled the trigger on how to be successful online. Larry Lewis and Neil Hayward from England were bringing together the world of network marketing, blogging and affiliate marketing to achieve success online. It felt like I had finally arrived and found my true calling.
Loddy meets Larry
The first coaching call with Larry found me on holidays with my children in sunny Queensland in the north east of Australia. He was calling from the UK. I waited for his call and waited. I had been to Larry’s blog at helathylifestyleliving.co.uk and written a comment about how his articles spoke to me. Larry had a way of having a conversation with you through his blog posts. This really appealed to me. I decided then and there that I wanted to reach a level like this with my own blogging. So I was somewhat disappointed at missing the coaching call. To my relief I didn’t actually miss it. Just as I was about to give up and go to bed. I received a message about daylight saving time change and that the call was actually scheduled for now not one hour prior. The phone rang and I heard that deep voice and rich English accent. The clarity and volume of his voice had an effect on me. I had noticed that in my personal development course the leaders put out such energy and volume when they spoke. It was all about having clarity of thought action and words.
The deciding factor
Larry was very professional apart from his cricket jokes. He had analysed my blog and asked me why I was using it as a lead generation system? This smacked me right around the head. Here it was the tension I had been experiencing all along . He picked it up straight away. Larry went on to say that I should be using my teaching skills to promote personal development on my blog and follow my true passion. I knew he was right.
He virtually laid out my career all over again but this time it was about making a difference for people looking to improve their lives.
The Law Of Attraction
Many things happened after that first encounter and I had to make some important decisions as to what direction I was going to take. The moment I decided and went out of my way to join up with Larry and Neil the magic began to happen. Suddenly I felt no tension. My writing became passionate and a whole world of possibilities began to present themselves for me. I now know that I am following my true passion and I am really excited about the mastermind team we have formed. I believe we are attracting the things in our lives to build something bigger than all of us. Something called all the missing pieces that will help anybody with access to the internet become successful online. I feel the synergy and the events unfolding to create this exciting new program.
It will be about making a difference and helping as many people as we can realise their true inner strength and how to use this and their passion to become the person they were meant to be.
I think I have finally found my family.
