Steps for moving your life forward

Everyone of you has everything you need within you to start moving your life forward. Yet so many people seem stuck in a life that brings them no happiness. They spend their days working too hard in a job that they don’t enjoy and trying to make other people happy instead of themselves. They seem to transfer power over their lives to other people.

Just as much as they’re controlled by others they also live their lives reacting to events and circumstances. They are always reacting to things instead of taking life into their own hands. You have to change this if you’re going to start moving your life forward.

This isn’t the way to live. We can do, be and have almost anything we want but this will entail for many a complete life reinvention.

For them to grasp the exciting possibilities and opportunities awaiting them they simple have to bring about changes for themselves. Let me today just offer you a few important steps you must take to start moving your life forward.

1. Bring closure on your acceptance of life as it is.

What I mean by this, is when you want to create change you must stop doing the things that you do which are creating the results you’re experiencing. You have to get your mind where it says “no more, enough is enough.” Remind yourself that life can be better than this. No longer be prepared to accept unhappiness instead now start to strive ahead moving your life forward by doing things you want to.

2. Focus on how you would like life to be different.

For you to turn over a new lease of life you have to determine how you want things to be, What you want to be doing and build a picture in your mind of the future you are going to build for yourself. Don’t sit on your hands anymore, no longer allow yourself to just see a meaningless life ahead of you. Instead use your creative mind, your instincts, your gut feelings to work out how you want to spend the rest of your life.

3. What are the immediate changes you can make that will start to make a difference.

What bad habits can you begin to eliminate, what things have you been avoiding doing that will help you move forward. Take a proper look at how you’re living your life, accept your failures and mistakes, and don’t let them hold you back. Once you can be honest with yourself see the things that you’re doing that are holding you back, and then eliminate them, you will be going a long way to moving your life forward.

4. Feel your worthiness.

So many people put themselves down seeing themselves as being failures, unworthy, insignificant and so many other debilitating feelings. When you feel like this you’ll amount to nothing. You are unique capable of so much more and only when you recognise this will you truly be able to reinvent yourself. I want you to find it within you to love yourself once again. Be proud that you haven’t accepted the life you have and have been brave to accept the challenges invlved in moving your life forward.

5. Do something significant.

You can neither change your life or reinvent it until you take action and do something to bring it about. Nobody has ever achieved anything by sitting on a couch watching tv or drinking in the local pub. Our time is precious and you have to make the most of it and get busy doing awesome things. You now have to make sure you make every day count. Between that moment when you wake, and before you retire for the night make sure you do one thing that is significant, that matters, that will be important for your personal growth and achievement.

6. Stop making excuses as to why you can’t.

Those things worth having often aren’t easy to attain for anybody, but when we want something enough we will go out to get it. To many of you don’t even try because you keep coming out with excuses why its pointless even trying. Start hearing yourself come out with excuses, and eliminate them, instead be one who says “I can, I will, I must.”

7. Know you have a better future awaiting you.

Bring your expectations up off the floor. Start to believe in yourself and what you can achieve . Set out on your journey of reinvention knowing that you can be successful. Keep seeing that wonderful future ahead of you, know exactly what it is you are striving for. Build up within you the expectations of how life could be, and do everything in your power to bring it about.

8. Surround yourself with the right support team.

I can’t understate the importance of this. To often we associate with others who put us down, tell us not to waste time trying, who like to tell us life’s unfair. Instead you need those who will inspire you with the possibilities motivate you to try to chase your dreams, offer you support and guidance when needed.

9. Bring meaning to your life.

The best life lived is one in alignment with your passions and your purpose. We all have something to contribute, the one thing that not only makes us unique, but excited to live, well it’s time you found yours.

So no more procrastinating it’s time to make those changes happen.

Today think about one small but meaningful change that will
improve your life.

What is that change?
What do you have to do?
Why do you want it?
What obstacles could stop you?
What actions do you need to take to bring this about?

Work out the answers to these questions and then start taking action.

    Great advice!

You’re spot on about how we seem to give up control of our happiness to other people. One thing to remember is that you shouldn’t make other people’s priorities your own. Figure out your own goals first. 🙂
